New Approaches to Youth Events

Each year, a dedicated group of volunteers has put in a huge amount of time and energy to organise two main events:
- The Teen Retreat for 13-17 year olds
- The Syezd for 18-29 year olds

9 февраля в неделю мытаря и фарисея, а также в день празднования Собора новомучеников и исповедников Церкви Русской, Его Высокопреосвященство Георгий, Архиепископ Сиднейский и Австралийско-Новозеландский, совершил Божественную литургию в Петропавловском кафедральном соборе в Стратфилде.Его Высокопреосвященству сослужили духовенство собора, а также иерей Андрей Морган, координатор молодежного отдела. Литургия проходила на английском языке специально для молодежи, чтобы они глубже прочувствовали духовное содержание богослужения.
Divine Liturgy on the Sunday of the Publican and the Pharisee and the Feast of the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church

On February 9, the Sunday of the Publican and the Pharisee, and the feast of the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church, His Eminence Archbishop George of Sydney, Australia and New Zealand celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral Strathfield.Co-served with His Eminence were the Cathedral clergy, and Fr. Andrew Morgan, Youth Co-ordinator. The Liturgy was served in English, allowing the youth to better understand the spiritual significance of the service.

Diocesan Youth Survey

The Diocese has released a survey to understand and plan the strategy for Youth Ministry and activities. This survey looks to understand the relationship young people have with the church and what they would see as a need to grow in the faith, build lasting relationships and grow as a disciple in Christ. The survey is for youth up to the age of 35, as well as parents of younger children.
We would also like to know if you are interested in receiving the upcoming Youth Newsletter and if you would like to be involved more officially in Youth Ministry, assisting or leading in the future – you can also note that in the survey.
