On Monday, January 6, 2025, on the eve of the Nativity of Christ, a solemn divine service was held at the Cathedral of Sts Peter and Paul in Strathfield. The Divine Liturgy was led by His Eminence George, Archbishop of Sydney, Australia and New Zealand.

The service began with the reading of the Royal Hours, a special service for the feast of the Nativity of Christ. This was followed by the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great.Continue Reading

On December 4, 2024, Orthodox Christians celebrated the Great feast of the Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple. On this solemn day, festive services were held at the Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Strathfield, led by His Eminence Archbishop George of the Australian and New Zealand Diocese.

The Vigil and the Divine Liturgy were celebrated in an atmosphere of prayer and reverence. Vladyka George was joined by the clergy of the Cathedral, and the faithful filled the church with their heartfelt prayers and hymns glorifying the Most Holy Theotokos.Continue Reading

17 ноября 2024 г. в неделю 21-ю по Пятидесятнице, Высокопреосвященнейший Георгий, Архиепископ Сиднейский и Австралийско-Новозеландский, совершил Божественную литургию в Петропавловском кафедральном соборе в Стратфилде. Его Высокопреосвященству сослужили клир собора и протоиерей Владимир Макеев, настоятель храма святых равноапостольных Кирилла и Мефодия на Дубровке в Москве.
Владыка Георгий произнес проповедь, посвященную евангельскому чтению и также приветствовал о. Владимира, выразив благодарность за совместное служение и передавая благословение верующим Москвы.

On the 15th Sunday after Pentecost, His Eminence Archbishop George of Sydney Australia and New Zealand together with His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Strathfield. The Cathedral clergy joined them in co-serving the service.

The sermon delivered by Vladyka Gabriel focused on the Gospel reading of the day, encouraging the faithful to draw spiritual lessons and apply them in their daily lives.
