Please find attached an Ukase to Fr Boris Ignatievsky relating to outcomes of a sermon that was perceived as support for clergy involved with abuse.

Our Diocese condemns and does not tolerate any abuse, especially the abuse of minors.

Also reattached is the Announcement that was published on the ANZ ROCOR website last week as an additional reminder of the Diocese’ position and expectation of behaviour with these matters, in accordance with the Child Safe Policy of the Diocese (Policy on website).

On the Sunday of Holy Pentecost, the Feast of the Holy Trinity, festive services were held at the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Strathfield, led by His Eminence Archbishop George of Sydney and Australia and New Zealand.

On April 20, 2025, on the great and radiant feast of Holy Pascha, His Eminence George, Archbishop of Sydney Australia and New Zealand led the festive services at the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Strathfield. His Eminence was concelebrated by the clergy of the cathedral.
