On 31 August 2025, the 12th Sunday after Pentecost, His Eminence George, Archbishop of Sydney, Australia & New Zealand, visited the Dormition Mission in Corrimal, NSW, accompanied by Protodeacon Martin Naef.
At 9:00 am, the rector Archpriest Dionisiy Halim and the faithful warmly greeted His Eminence, after which the Divine Liturgy commenced. Following the service, a cross procession was held around the church, in accordance with tradition.

On Saturday, 19 July 2025, the parish of the Holy Chief Apostles Peter and Paul in Perth, Western Australia,  celebrated its 75th anniversary since its founding.

To mark this joyful occasion, His Eminence George, Archbishop of Sydney Australia and New Zealand arrived from Sydney and was warmly greeted at the airport by the parish rector, Archpriest Sergei Okunev, and Deacon Vladimir Ivliev.

On the 11th and 12th of July 2025, the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Strathfield joyfully celebrated its patronal feast in honour of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.

The divine services were led by His Eminence George Archbishop of Sydney, Australia & New Zealand. Concelebrating with His Eminence were the cathedral clergy as well as clergy from neighbouring parishes of the diocese.

The cathedral choir, under the direction of Andrei Laptev, beautifully adorned the services with prayerful and inspiring singing. The church was filled with faithful, many of whom partook of the Holy Mysteries of Christ.Continue Reading

On Friday, 4 July 2025, the funeral service for the newly reposed Archpriest John Weir was prayerfully held in Brisbane, Queensland. The day began with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy for the Departed at 8:00am at the Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God in Rocklea. The liturgy was led by Archpriest Gabriel Makarov and clergy of the Australian and New Zealand Diocese.

At 10:00am, the funeral service commenced, headed by His Eminence George, Archbishop of Sydney, Australia and New Zealand. His Eminence was co-served by clergy from the Australian and New Zealand Diocese, many of whom had served with Fr John over the years.Continue Reading
