Please pray for the soul of Father Gregory Momongan, a priest of the Indonesian Deanery of the Sydney , Australia and New Zealand Diocese, Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. Father Gregory reposed in the Lord Thursday, February 21, at 11:30 pm local time. Father Gregory was priest in charge of St Mary the Theotokos (Nativity of the Theotokos) Orthodox Church, Manado City in North Sulawesi Province, Indonesia.

Father Gregory was hit by a truck on Wednesday February 20, a victim of a hit and run accident, while operating his motorcycle, which he used as a taxi in downtown Manado City . He had a mechanical problem with his motorcycle and pulled over to the side of the road where he was hit by a speeding truck that was attempting to overtake another vehicle. People who rushed to Father’s aid were able to contact his family from the information of a billing statement which they found in his pocket.Continue Reading

Владыка Иларион, о. Михаил и чтец Дионисий прибыли в Буэнос Айрес около 6-ти часов вечера. Их встретили в аэропорту псаломщик Воскресенского кафедрального собора Сергей, его жена Ольга и дочь Анна. Чуть позже подошёл Андрей Игоревич Андрушкевич, который вернулся из отпуска встретить и принять гостей в своем доме. По приглашению Владыки, вскоре из Сантьяго прибыл священник о. Day 6, 9 February 2008

Compared to the other days in Chile this day proved to be relatively easy-going. Breakfast and lunch were taken at the hotel.

In the morning the delegates were able to work on news articles, personal emails and reading. After lunch they left by plane to Santiago.

Representatives of the Arab Orthodox community came to farewell the bishop and his co-travellers, their eyes still obviously gleaming with the joy they had experienced from such and unusual and important meeting.Continue Reading
