On Monday 9 June 2014 the Holy Trinity Monastery in Monkerai, NSW, celebrated its patronal feast.
On the Sunday of Pentecost, Hieromonk John (Macpherson), superior of the monastery, concelebrated at Divine Liturgy and Vespers with the kneeling prayers at Saint Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Wallsend, NSW. The parish of Saint Nicholas is the closest parish to the monastery. (more…)
With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, there will be no feastal service for the Parish of St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco, Gunning NSW. The 20th Anniversary of Saint John will be celebrated in San Francisco on 28 and 29 June 2014.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, I appeal now to the Fullness of our Church, to all the peoples of historic Rus.
There can be nothing more important for us today than the continuing fratricide which is blazing on the territory of Ukraine, taking away more and more lives.
What is happening today, primarily in the Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts, and how are the members of our Holy Church, to assess it?
In the southern regions of historic Rus, internecine strife has now flared up.
The consequences of the bloody conflict are horrifying. No longer only a hundred, like in Kiev over the winter, but many, many hundreds have died, thousands have been wounded and left homeless. Only the devil can celebrate victory, when brothers take up arms against each other, destroy each other, maim each other, weaken the life-force of the people. (more…)

Christ is Risen!
I would like to thank you all for joining your prayers with ours today as we celebrate some very important milestones in the life of our humble parish. A parish is a living organism – an organic whole which is composed of its members living in Communion with Christ and with each other. A parish therefore, lives and breathes, and like any living thing, it also experiences joys and sorrows, phases of growth and consolidation, sometimes even it experiences struggle and pain. We would never say that the success of a human being is always the same as his or her physical health, but rather, what he or she has achieved in their lifetime despite all of the limitations that they face. В четверг 22 мая в Свято-Николаевском храме в Ферфилде, Божественную литургию возглавил Митрополит Иларион, Первоиерарх Русской Зарубежной Церкви. На малом входе Митрополит Иларион возложил митру на настоятеля храма, протоиерея Никиту Чемодакова. А после многолетие, протодиакон храма Герман Полоротов был награжден почетной грамотой “400-летия Дома Романовых” в связи с 25-летием служения в диаконском сане. После окончания службы сестричество храма пригласило прихожан и многочисленных гостей на трапезу. (more…)

В воскресенье 11 мая, когда австралийцы празднуют День матери, в зале при Петропавловском соборе в Стратфилде состоялся концерт молодых музыкантов. Выступления детей были не только подарком для мам, но и имели благотворительную цель – помочь строительству женского монастыря на юге штата Новый Южный Уэльс.
В этот день из Свято-Введенского монастыря в Бангарби, о строительстве которого мы рассказывали нашим читателям и раньше (http://www.unification.com.au/articles/read/1396/), приехали две монахини – мать Кристина и сестра Ангелина. (more…)
