Australian and New Zealand Diocese (ROCOR)

We, the clergy, monastics, and lay delegates to the Twentieth Diocesan Assembly of the Australian-New Zealand Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR), give thanks to God for the opportunity to gather together at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Sydney, Australia, to review the life and achievements of the Diocese over the past three years. As we stand on the threshold of the seventy-fifth anniversary of our God-preserved Diocese, we rejoice in its continuing growth and strength. (more…)

On Monday, 19 September 2022, the funeral service for priest David Lloyd took place at the Holy Protection Church Cabramatta, NSW. The service was led by His Grace Bishop George of Canberra and co-serving with His Grace were eight priests and three deacons from the NSW deanery.

In accordance with the funeral service for a priest within the Russian Orthodox Church, the service included the chanting of psalms and various hymns, the reading of the canon for the departed, and the reading of five epistles and five gospels. Towards the end of the service a prayer of absolution was read. Fr David was laid to rest at Pinegrove Memorial Park cemetery at Minchinbury. (more…)

Праздник Светлого Христова Воскресения, Пасха – главное событие года для православных христиан и самый большой церковный праздник. Пасхальная вечерня – одна из самых коротких, но ярких и запоминающихся служб на праздничной неделе. Запоминается она, прежде всего тем, что более десятка священнослужителей в праздничных облачениях кадят весь храм и с возгласами на разных языках приветствуют молящихся: «Христос Воскресе!», вкладывая в эти два слова все торжество Праздника, всю свою любовь и преданность Церкви Христовой! Вместе со священниками радость о Господе переполняет и сердца верующих, которые звучно и дружно откликаются: «Воистину Воскресе!» (more…)

ДУХОВЕНСТВА АВСТРАЛИЙСКО-НОВОЗЕЛАНДСКОЙ ЕПАРХИИ РПЦЗ

После длинного периода изоляции из-за пандемии, духовенство Австралийско-Новозеландской епархии собралось для общего говения, сослужения и пастырского совещания.

Во вторник, 22 марта священнослужители собрались в Кройдоне,  в храме Всех Святых в Земле Русской просиявших и прочитали последование ко Святому Причащению, затем была отслужена великопостная утреня. Во время утрени священнослужители имели возможность исповедоваться у своих духовников. (more…)

В преддверии Великого поста, этого спасительного времени глубокой молитвы и работы над собой, и в связи с событиями в стране Украинской, обращаюсь ко всем с сердечной просьбой – воздерживаясь от чрезмерного просмотра телевидения, газет и интернета, закрывая двери своих сердец для страстей разжигаемых средствами массовой информации, усугубим горячие молитвы о мире во всем мире, о преодолении вражды и разногласий, о помощи страждущим, о упокоении отошедших в вечность и утешении оставшихся родных и близких, о том, чтобы мы все, прежде всего, оставались людьми и православными христианами в эти сложные времена. As we approach Great Lent, this salvific time of profound prayer and self-correction, and in connection with the events in the Ukrainian land, I turn to all with a heartfelt plea: to refrain from excessive watching television, following newspapers and the internet, to close our hearts to the passions ignited by mass media, while doubling our fervent prayers for peace throughout the world, for overcoming enmity and discord, for help for the suffering, for the repose of those who have departed into the eternal life and the consolation of their friends and relatives, so that we all first and foremost remain humane and Orthodox Christians in these difficult times. On Friday, 4 February at 6pm, the body of Fr Constantine will be brought to Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral, 3 Vernon St, Strathfield NSW 2135. Vespers and Matins will commence after the arrival of the newly reposed. On Saturday, 5 February a Divine Liturgy will be served at 7:30am. The funeral service will be held following the Divine Liturgy. (more…)
