В Индонезии в четверг, 21-го февраля с.г. трагически погиб в дорожной аварии молодой, 32-летний православный священник Григорий Момонган.
Отец Григорий – клирик Индонезийской православной миссии, которая находится под канонической протекцией Австралийско-Новозеландской епархии РПЦЗ. До принятия священного сана, он некоторое время учился в Белгородской духовной семинарии в России. Преосвященный архиепископ Иларион, Сиднейский и Австралийско-Новозеландский, рукоположил его в иерейский сан в храме св. апостола Фомы в городе Джакарта 9-го марта 2005 г. (more…)
Please pray for the soul of Father Gregory Momongan, a priest of the Indonesian Deanery of the Sydney , Australia and New Zealand Diocese, Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. Father Gregory reposed in the Lord Thursday, February 21, at 11:30 pm local time. Father Gregory was priest in charge of St Mary the Theotokos (Nativity of the Theotokos) Orthodox Church, Manado City in North Sulawesi Province, Indonesia.
Father Gregory was hit by a truck on Wednesday February 20, a victim of a hit and run accident, while operating his motorcycle, which he used as a taxi in downtown Manado City . He had a mechanical problem with his motorcycle and pulled over to the side of the road where he was hit by a speeding truck that was attempting to overtake another vehicle. People who rushed to Father’s aid were able to contact his family from the information of a billing statement which they found in his pocket. (more…)
