Today, February 11/24 2008, the Sunday of the Prodigal Son, His Eminence Hilarion, Archbishop of Sydney, Australia and New Zealand, ordained Deacon Eugene Kulanov, a clergyman of the Holy Resurrection parish in Auckland, to the Priesthood. ORTHODOX ACTION – SYDNEY is a much respected charitable organisation of our Australian ROCOR Diocese under the patronage of St John of Shanghai and San Francisco. With the blessing of His Grace Archbishop Hilarion its main aim is to raise funds to support orphaned and abandoned children and the needy in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

Владыка Иларион, о. Михаил и чтец Дионисий прибыли в Буэнос Айрес около 6-ти часов вечера. Их встретили в аэропорту псаломщик Воскресенского кафедрального собора Сергей, его жена Ольга и дочь Анна. Чуть позже подошёл Андрей Игоревич Андрушкевич, который вернулся из отпуска встретить и принять гостей в своем доме. По приглашению Владыки, вскоре из Сантьяго прибыл священник о. Алексей Аэдо, чтобы пообщаться со своими южно-американскими собратьями и участвовать в праздничных богослужениях.Continue Reading
