The Lord, in His great mercy, has enabled us to experience the joy of the reestablishment of prayerful and Eucharistic communion between the two parts of the Russian Orthodox Church, held in the city of Moscow, the heart of our Fatherland during the days when the Holy Church sings the praises of Christ our Savior Who ascended to the Heavens. With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia, an official delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, headed by His Eminence Metropolitan Isidor of Ekaterinodar and Kuban, will participate in celebrations of the reestablishment of canonical unity of the Russian Orthodox Church.

During this trip, divine services are planned to be held in the churches and monasteries of the Russian diaspora. The visitors will have with them an icon dear to the heart of every Orthodox Christian, the Derzhavnaya [Reigning] Icon of the Mother of God. Continue Reading

Saturday evening 25th August and Sunday 26th – at Brunswick church. 9.30am Divine Liturgy

Sunday 26th August, 5.00pm – at Serbian Orthodox Church in Keysborough.

Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th August – in Dandenong for Patronal Feast of the Dormition.  Divine Liturgy at 9.00am

29th August – The Holy Icon returns to Sydney. Evening service at 6pm at the Holy Intercession church in Cabramatta.

30th August – evening service in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral Strathfield.

31st August – farewell molieben at the Archbishop’s Chapel, Croydon at 10am, after which the Holy Icon returns to the USA
