At 7:45am on Saturday, 13 May 2023, His Grace Bishop Luke of Syracuse, Vicar of the Eastern American Diocese and Rector of Holy Trinity Seminary in Jordanville arrived in Australia.
Bishop Luke was invited by His Grace Bishop George of Sydney Australia and New Zealand to participate in the festivities marking the 100 year anniversary of St Nicholas Cathedral in Brisbane scheduled for 27th and 28th May.Continue Reading
The Rite of Orthodoxy celebrated at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral Strathfield
The feast of Orthodoxy, also known as the Sunday of Orthodoxy or the Triumph of Orthodoxy is celebrated on the first Sunday of Great Lent. This year this feast fell on Sunday, 8 March 2020.
His Grace Bishop George together with the Cathedral clergy, Archpriest George Lapardin (dean), Priest Michael Storozhev, Protodeacon Alexander Kotlaroff, Protodeacon Martin Naef, cleric of St Panteleimon’s church, Gosford and Deacon Michael Matys, cleric of St George’s church, Carlton celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral Strathfield. On Saturday 18th of January 2020 and Sunday 19th January 2020, His Grace Bishop George of Canberra celebrated Vigil and the Divine Liturgy at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral Strathfield NSW. Following the litugy, His Grace served the rite of the Great Blessing of Waters.

His Grace Bishop George celebrates the Nativity of Our Lord at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral Strathfield
On Monday, 6 January 2020 and Tuesday, 7 January 2020, His Grace George, Bishop of Canberra celebrated the great feast of the Nativity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral, Strathfield, NSW. Co-served with his Grace were the Cathedral clergy, Archpriest George Lapardin, dean of the Cathedral, priest Michael Storozhev and protodeacon Alexander Kotlaroff.
Following the Divine Liturgy, a festal lunch was held in the church hall where the faithful joyously congratulated each other with the feast.

Пасха 2019 в Петропавловском соборе в Стратфилде
В полночь на 28 апреля колокольный звон Петропавловского собора, возвестивший приход Святого Воскресения, разнесся над тихой улочкой Vernon сиднейского района Стратфилд. Сотни и сотни людей православной веры вместе с митрополитом Иларионом, епископом Георгием и священнослужителями, иконами и хоругвями, с зажженными свечами прошли Крестным ходом вокруг здания храма. «Христос Воскресе!» – провозгласил владыка, и ему вторили голоса священников и протодиаконов. Кажется, целое море огоньков окружает храм и подходит к главному входу, украшенному мозаичным панно Петра и Павла и светящимися на колокольне огромными буквами ХВ.Continue Reading
