This year, due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, Sodruzhestvo XIII will be conducted in online format from 14th to 19th July 2020. The exact times of events will be specified (on 1 July) once time-zone differences have been optimised for participants joining from different countries. This “online format” Sodruzhestvo to be used will be Zoom or similar and has the potential to achieve record attendance with up to 1,000 online participants from 24 countries. (more…)

Милостью Божией мы с вами достигли уже 3-й Недели пасхального торжества, которую Церковь премудрым образом посвятила воспоминанию подвига жен-мироносиц.
Жены-мироносицы и апостолы — это своего рода два пути веры. Решительный и горячий Петр, готовый идти за Спасителем даже на смерть, до просвещения Духом Святым оказался, однако, не столь уж мужественным и крепким в вере, когда возникла реальная опасность для жизни. Да и другие ученики, опасаясь своих соплеменников, в страхе оставили Господа в самый критический момент. (more…)

В радости Царства Божия, ибо «веселимся божественне, яко воскресе Христос» (из Пасхального канона), приношу свое Пасхальное целование всем: как тем, кто благополучно завершил свой карантинный затвор, празднуя ныне в храмах и Святых Христовых Таин приобщаясь, так и тем, кто продолжает пребывать в пустыне уединения и различных ограничений, посвящая значительную часть своего времени частной молитве, душеполезному чтению, общению с родными и близкими. И первые, и последние, по выражению Златоуста, «день почтите», сердцем воспринимая богатства благости Божией! (more…)

With the joy of God’s Kingdom, as we are “divinely glad, for Christ is risen” (from the Paschal Canon), I offer my Paschal greeting to all: both to those who have successfully completed the reclusion of their quarantine, celebrating now in the churches and communing of Christ’s Holy Mysteries; and also to those who yet abide in the desert of solitude and various restrictions, dedicating the better portion of their time to private prayer, spiritually beneficial reading, and interaction with friends and relatives. May the former and the latter both, in the words of St. John Chrysostom, “honor the day,” receiving in their hearts the riches of God’s goodness! (more…)
