{"id":9985,"date":"2014-09-04T23:37:11","date_gmt":"2014-09-04T13:37:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rocor.org.au\/?p=9985"},"modified":"2014-09-04T23:37:57","modified_gmt":"2014-09-04T13:37:57","slug":"feast-day-of-the-holy-transfiguration-monastery-bombala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rocor.org.au\/?p=9985","title":{"rendered":"Feast Day at the Holy Transfiguration Monastery Bombala"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a class=\"highslide img_1\" href=\"https:\/\/rocor.org.au\/news25\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/bombala_1.jpg\" onclick=\"return hs.expand(this)\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-9987\" src=\"https:\/\/rocor.org.au\/news25\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/bombala_1-160x120.jpg\" alt=\"bombala_1\" width=\"160\" height=\"120\" \/><\/a>On Sunday, 17 August 2014, His Grace Bishop George of Mayfield arrived at the Holy Transfiguration Monastery located at the foot of the Snowy Mountains, where he spent several days visiting the brethren of the Monastery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Monday, 18 August\u00a02014, the eve of the feast day of the Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and Tuesday, 19 August 2014, His Grace\u00a0together with the brethren of the Monastery and visiting clergy served the\u00a0all night vigil and the Divine Liturgy. <!--more-->The Church was filled with visiting pilgrims and local parishioners. During the small entrance,\u00a0Hieromonk Sergei (Shatrov) was elevated to the rank of Hegumen and upon the completion of the service,\u00a0he was\u00a0appointed Abbot of the Monastery and was
