\"mh_sobor_27122016_8\"<\/a>On Sunday, 27 November 2016, the feast day of Holy Apostle Philip, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, Archbishop of Sydney, Australia and New Zealand celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral, Strathfield. His Eminence was joined by His Grace Bishop George of Canberra, Vicar and Administrator of the Australian and New Zealand Diocese, the Cathedral dean, Archpriest George Lapardin and the Cathedral Protodeacons Alexander Kotlaroff and Constantine Moshegov.<\/p>\n

During the Sixth Hour, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion tonsured Nektary Kotlaroff a reader. Following the Diving Liturgy, His Grace Bishop George thanked His Eminence for visiting Australia and for his leadership during the Diocesan Tri-annual Conference. Bishop George also wished His Eminence a safe tip back to New York.<\/p>\n

In response, His Eminence thanked Bishop George for his well wishes and his efforts in administering the Diocese in his absence. His Eminence also congratulated the newly tonsured reader Nektary Kotlaroff and wished him Gods help in serving the Holy Church.<\/p>\n

The Cathedral dean, Archpriest George Lapardin, congratulated His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion on his 20th Anniversary as the ruling bishop of the Australian and New Zealand Diocese and presented a new miter on behalf of the parish. Many years was intoned to His Eminence.<\/p>\n
