The German Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia organizes n an international scholarly conference – “Legacy & Calling,” which will take place from May 6-8 of this year in Munich, and is timed to mark the centenary of the German Diocese.
The conference will bring together leading historians and theologians specializing in the history of the Russian Church, with the aim of comprehensively reflecting upon the historic journey of the German Diocese.
Venue: Blutenburg Castle, located in close proximity to the Monastery of St. Job of Pochaev (Klosters des Heiligen Hiob) in Munich.
More than 20 presentations will be delivered at the conference. The conference will be conducted in Russian and German; simultaneous interpretation into these languages will be provided throughout the entire event. Unfortunately, it is impossible to offer translation into English in addition to two other languages.
All conference sessions will be broadcast live on YouTube, including the interpretation feed. This will allow viewers to follow the proceedings from anywhere in the world. The link to the live stream will be sent exclusively to registered participants via the official registration form.
Please note:
Registration is mandatory – both for in-person attendance and for access to the online broadcast.
The number of spots available for in-person attendance is limited; early registration is therefore recommended.
Participant registration for both online and real time participants is conducted via the official diocesan website in Russian here and in German & English here.
