: Сommemoration of Adam’s Expulsion and Forgiveness Sunday at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral

On Cheesefare Sunday, the day of the commemoration of Adam’s expulsion and Forgiveness Sunday, His Eminence George Archbishop of Sydney Australia and New Zealand celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Strathfield. Co-served with his Eminence were the Cathedral clergy.

In his sermon, Vladyka George emphasized the importance of repentance and forgiveness in Christian life, reminding that the true path to God lies through humility, prayer, and good deeds. He urged the faithful to use the time of Great Lent for spiritual growth, abstaining from sinful habits, and strengthening their faith.
After the Divine Liturgy, Vladyka George led the Rite of forgiveness. Upon completion of the service, the clergy and parishioners exchanged words of forgiveness, asking each other for pardon for both voluntary and involuntary transgressions.
