The parish of the Protection of the Holy Virgin in Cabramatta will hold a Liturgical Music Seminar from Thursday 27th May to Sunday 30th May, 2010.
The objective of this Seminar, supported by the and the Australia and New Zealand Diocesan (ROCOR) Sacred Music Committee, is to bring together singers and conductors and together to explore the wealth and majesty of Russian liturgical music through lectures, hands-on workshops, rehearsals and divine services.

Воскресенский приход города Окланда в Новой Зеландии отмечал свой престольный праздник в Фомино воскресение. Нам выпала большая честь – наш правящий архиерей, Владыка митрополита Иларион, первоиерарх Русской Зарубежной Церкви, возглавлял праздничные богослужения.
Всенощное бдение мы отслужили в нашем храме, тогда как Божественная Литургия была отслужена в сербской церкви вместе с настоятелем о.Саввой и её сербским приходом. (more…)

On the evening of Wednesday, 14 April, Holy Ascension Orthodox Mission and RMIT Chaplaincy hosted an event at the Spiritual Centre for Archimandrite Dr Themistocles (Adamopoulos). Fr Themi, as he is lovingly called, presented a seminar titled, “Conflict and Resolution in Contemporary West Africa & the Role of the Orthodox Church.” Fr Themi is a missionary from the Diocese of Ghana (Patriarchate of Alexandria) to Sierra Leone. Fr Themi for the last decade has been working in Africa as a missionary in Kenya and in the last 2 years in Sierra Leone. His philosophy is “Charity through Education.” (more…)

Из-за того, что в этом году день перехода на зимнее время был перенесен на первое воскресение апреля, прихожане и верующие Новой Зеландии начали всемирное празднование Светлого Воскресения Христова радостными восклицаниями «Христос Воскресе!» в полночь, когда в Анадыре и на Камчатке еще было 11 часов вечера, 9 вечера в епархиальном центре в Сиднее, середина субботнего дня в Москве, и всего лишь утро субботы в Нью Йорке.
