Jakarta, Indonesia – Metropolitan Hilarion (Kapral) of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR) Archbishop of Australia and New Zealand arrived in Indonesia today and served a liturgy in Jakarta were he ordained 2 Indonesians deacons to the Priesthood. During the course of his visit to Indonesia His Eminence will ordain 4 priests and 1 deacon. In the ROCOR mission of Indonesia there are already over 2500 Indonesian Orthodox parishioners. The Dean of the Indonesian Orthodox mission Archimandrite Daniel Byantoro held a press-conference with www.pravoslavie.ru to describe the difficult situation in the rapidly expanding Orthodox mission in Indonesia. Warrnambool, Australia – On the Sunday of the Holy Fathers of the 1st Eccumenical council, the Russian Orthodox community in the Australian city of Warrnambool celebrated their Parish feast day and a 10 year jubilee since the day the parish was converted from a historical Anglican Church to a thriving Russian Orthodox Parish. 11-12 июля
Высокопреосвященнейший Митрополит Иларион возглавит торжества по случаю престольного праздника Петропавловского кафедрального собора в Стратфильде (Сидней, Австралия). 

15 июля
Первоиерарх Русской Зарубежной Церкви вернется в Нью-Йорк.

Important Announcement!

Metropolitan Hilarion will be presiding over the Apodosis of Pascha service, at the Archbishop’s Chapel, Croydon.

The Paschal Matins will be sung in English immediately followed by the Divine Liturgy (also according to the Paschal Typica).

It will be held Tuesday May 26, commencing at 11.30 pm.

The service is expected to conclude at approx. 1.30am, following which light refreshments will be offered in the church hall. Please be mindful of our neighbours and keep street noise down to a bare minimum.

В светлые Пасхальные дни в Австралийско-Новозеландскую епархию приезжает Первоиерарх Русской Зарубежной Церкви, митрополит Восточно-Американский и Нью-Йоркский ИЛАРИОН, который одновременно является управляющим православными приходами на Зеленом континенте.

Незадолго до отъезда в Австралию с владыкой Иларионом встретилась наш корреспондент в Нью-Йорке Татьяна Весёлкина.

— Ваше Высокопреосвящество, Ваш приезд в возглавляемую Вами епархию обещает быть, как всегда, насыщенным. Где планируете служить в первые дни своего пребывания в Австралии, с кем встретиться?

— Первым делом по прибытии в Австралию поблагодарю Господа Бога за возможность снова быть рядом с прихожанами епархии, где мне довелось служить незабываемые годы до моего избрания на пост Предстоятеля РПЦЗ. В Австралии я планирую находиться два месяца. За это время мне хотелось бы посетить как можно больше храмов, обителей, встретиться со священнослужителями и прихожанами. (more…)

CHRIST IS RISEN!

Today, in churches full to overflowing with throngs of people, songs of praise and thanksgiving are being offered up to God. Celebrating and rejoicing, we welcome the Savior’s triumphant Resurrection from the tomb with gladsome spiritual hymns. In the spirit of spiritual joy I hasten, through this epistle, to visit all of you and mystically to express to all the pious members of our Russian Church Abroad the paschal greeting.
