18 Nov 11: The Working Group on Church Unity Meets as the Fifth Anniversary of the Signing of the Act of Canonical Communion Approaches
MOSCOW: November 17, 2011
On November 17, 2011, the first meeting was held in Moscow by the working group on Church unity as the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Act of Canonical Communion approaches.
With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the Department of External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate hosted the meeting, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Ilarion of Volokolamsk. This body was formed by His Holiness at the request of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. (more…)

По благословению Святейшего Патриарха Московского и всея Руси Кирилла 17 ноября 2011 года в Отделе внешних церковных связей Московского Патриархата под председательством митрополита Волоколамского Илариона состоялось первое заседание рабочей группы для обсуждения вопросов укрепления церковного единства в преддверии празднования пятилетия подписания Акта о каноническом общении, учрежденной Его Святейшеством с учетом поступившего обращения членов Архиерейского Синода Русской Зарубежной Церкви. An energetic group of young Russian Orthodox parents from the Hornsby area, members of our Gosford parish, have with the blessing of Metropolitan Hilarion recently established the Saint Seraphim Community Russian School. Classes will begin this coming Sunday, November 13, at Mount Colah Public School. (more…)

29 октября 2011 года милостию Божией совершилось Великое освящение православного храма Покрова Богородицы в поселении Лебонс Бэй, на Южном острове Новой Зеландии, созданного по благословению Его Высокопреосвященства, митрополита Илариона, Первоиерарха РПЦз, в месте проведения ежегодного православного детского лагеря. By God’s Grace the Russian Orthodox church of the Protection of the Mother of God in Le Bons Bay, on the South Island of New Zealand was consecrated on Saturday, October 29 2011. The church was built with the blessing of Metropolitan Hilarion, the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad at the location of the annual children’s Summer Camp. (more…)
4 Nov 11: His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion celebrates his Names Day at the Diocesan Cathedral – 3 November 2011
On 21 October/03 November 2011 on the occasion of his Names Day (the commemoration of Saint Hilarion the Great, Saint Hilarion of the Kiev Caves and Saint Hilarion, Metropolitan of Kiev) His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Diocesan Cathedral of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.
Serving with His Eminence were His Grace, Bishop Irinej of Australia and New Zealand of the Serbian Orthodox Church and 11 priests and 5 deacons. His Grace Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada prayed in the altar. (more…)
